TOUR OF POLLY, TEXAS

J. P. RODRIGUEZ SETTLEMENT, dates from the late 1850s

LOCATION: Two miles N of State Highway 16, about 6 miles NE of Bandera, TX, on Privilege Creek.

Twenty-eight miles from Helotes. Thirty-five-minute drive.

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 16, 2024

9:00 am— 2:30 p.m

Tour begins at 10:00.

Lunch in Bandera 1:00 pm.

Rudi Rodriguez, Polly Texas Pioneer Association, will be our tour guide.

Tour includes: A brief overview of José Policarpio Rodriquez (1829-1914), surveyor, scout, and Methodist preacher, and the settlement, with visits to the Chapel, School House, and the historic Polly's Cemetery.

Deadline for payment to reserve your spot is October 11. We will reserve a table at a restaurant in Bandera for lunch; attendees will pay for their own meals.

Participants should meet in Old Town at 9:00 am in the city parking area across from Mander Automotive. 

We will carpool and leave promptly at 9:15 am.
