CITY HALL EXHIBIT

On July 26, 2012, the Society dedicated its first historical exhibit in the gallery of Helotes City Hall, with a display of artifacts from the Braun family, which included a Winchester Model 1885 rifle and an 1895 Texas law book owned by William Braun, a Precinct 2 constable in the early 1900s. Since that time, the Society has rotated its historical exhibits

every six months, showcasing such pioneer families as the Benkes, Brauchles, and Schotts, and artifacts such as early

cameras, farm equipment, and quilts.

Please stop by City Hall to view our museum-quality exhibit.

Our most recent exhibit showcases the history of the Helotes Fire Department, which began in the 1950s as the Helotes Fire Corps.
